THESIS QUESTION

How can contemporary Indigenous art be integrated with decolonizing practices in museums that hold Indigenous collections in order to facilitate healing from cultural harms?
Native artist voices are highlighted throughout, including each section introduction, also displaying a work of art by the artist. As part of my practice, I requested image use from each artist for my self-published thesis.

Case studies such as the Penn Museum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania demonstrate key values to collaborations with Native artists, making a case for how to integrate decolonizing practices.
